What we collect

• Booking and contact details: your name, email, phone number, mailing or billing address, reservation dates, and the suite you book.
• Guest registration: for every stay we collect a completed, signed guest registration, which may include a government-issued photo ID, to verify identity and release your self check-in codes.
• Payment information: the card and billing details you enter to pay. These are collected and processed by our payment processor; the Hotel does not see or store full card numbers.
• Messages: the content of messages you send us or send through your reservation.
• Site and device data: standard log and analytics data such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, used to keep the site secure and working.

How we use it

• To take and manage your reservation, process payment, verify identity, release access codes, and communicate about your stay.
• To provide guest support, enforce our terms and house rules, keep the property and our systems secure, meet legal and tax obligations, and improve the site.

Who we share it with

• Service providers who run the Hotel on our behalf: our property-management and booking system and its payment processing, our email and messaging tools, and our site hosting, performance, and error-monitoring providers. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
• Booking platforms, when you reserve through them (Airbnb, Expedia, Booking.com), under their own privacy policies.
• Authorities or others where required by law, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of guests, staff, or the Hotel.
• We do not sell your personal information.

Payment security

Card payments are handled by our payment processor under its own security and PCI standards. The Hotel does not store your full card number.

Security cameras

For safety and security we operate cameras in exterior and shared common areas only. There are no cameras inside guest suites.

Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of cookies and similar tools for essential site function, performance, and error monitoring. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as needed for your stay and for our legitimate business and legal or tax obligations, and then delete or anonymize it.

Your choices and rights

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to opt out of marketing emails, subject to records we are required to keep by law. Email hello@thecolumbushotel.com and we will respond.

Children

The site and our bookings are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
