Cancellation and refund policy

Standard cancellation

• Cancel more than 7 days before your check-in date and you receive a full refund.
• Cancel within 7 days of your check-in date and the first night plus taxes is non-refundable; any remaining nights are refunded.

No-shows

If you do not arrive and do not cancel, the reservation is treated as a no-show and is non-refundable.

Early departure

If you check out early, nights already reserved are not refunded. We are glad to help where we can, but unused nights on a confirmed stay are not credited.

Access and self check-in

Your access codes are released only after you complete the required guest registration for your stay. If codes are not released because that registration was not completed, this is not a Hotel fault and is not grounds for a refund. Reach us any time during your stay and we will help you get in.

When the fault is ours

If you arrive to a suite that is not clean, not safe, or not as booked and we cannot promptly make it right or move you to a comparable suite, we will refund you fairly for the affected nights. We handle these situations case by case and in good faith.

How to cancel

To cancel a direct booking, contact us as early as possible at hello@thecolumbushotel.com or (845) 474-2442. Refunds are returned to your original payment method; your bank may take several business days to post them.

Taxes and fees

Where a refund is due, applicable taxes on the refunded nights are returned with them. The cleaning fee is refunded when the entire reservation is cancelled before check-in.
