Both buildings open on smart locks: one code for the building entrance and one for your room.

We send a short guest registration to sign. Your codes are released only once it is complete.

Both codes come to you through your reservation messages.
Parking
Free, first-come, first-served, one standard-size vehicle per reservation. At 52 Cottage Street the lot is directly across the street; at 89 it is behind the building.

Let yourself in with the two codes, however late you arrive.
By 10:00 AM
Check out. Early check-in or late checkout can be requested, and has to be approved in writing before you arrive.
Both buildings are walk-ups with stairs and no elevator.

Most rooms are Standard Suites, with a queen bed, a kitchenette and a private bathroom. The two Studio Suites are smaller rooms for one guest.

Opened as hotels in 1890 and 1910
The Hotel Neville opened at Cottage and Prince Streets in 1890, and the Columbus Hotel at Cottage and School Streets in 1910. Both were restored together, and today they trade as The Columbus Suites and The Columbus Hotel.

Mervin E. Pindar opened the Hotel Neville in 1890 for the railroad trade, rooms for commercial men and railroad crews near the Wickham Avenue depot. It later became the Hotel Lee.

Francesco "Frank" Palo built the Columbus Hotel in 1910, "remodelled with everything new, meals at all hours, European or American plan." It later became the Diana Hotel; we have restored its first name.

Do the suites have kitchens?
- Every room has a kitchenette: a stove, a microwave, a full-size refrigerator, and cookware. Some rooms also have an oven, but we do not promise one until we have checked yours, so plan for the cooktop.
Is there parking?
- Yes, free private parking on a first-come, first-served basis. At 52 Cottage it's the lot directly across the street; at 89 Cottage it's the lot behind the building. One standard-size vehicle per reservation.
Are weekly or monthly stays available?
- Yes. The suites work well for longer stays, work assignments, medical or school-related visits, and relocations. Up to four weeks can be booked online in one sitting; for anything longer, talk to us first.
Is it noisy?
- They are downtown buildings shared with other guests, so expect some street noise, footsteps in the hallways, and guests coming and going. Quiet hours run from 8 PM to 8 AM.
Is there an elevator?
- No. Both buildings are walk-ups with stairs. If that's a concern, message us before booking and we'll help you find the best-fit suite.
